CONCEALERS

For many people, the final step in rosacea skincare is the application of this cream-to-powder Rosacea Care Concealer. It is specially formulated with natural micronized minerals to cover areas of redness and skin breakouts, and it is available in six shades of color to allow everyone to find the perfect match for their skin.

Designed for rosaceans of all skin types, this Concealer offers the proven sun protection of Titanium Dioxide and micronized Zinc Oxide and carries an SPF of 17.

It is rich in such potent anti-oxidants as Green Tea Extract and Tocopherol (Vitamin E), and with the soothing effect of Willowherb, this remarkable product moisturizes as it protects. It’s an ideal camouflage that can also be used as a foundation for the entire face.

Each Concealer comes in a sophisticated white compact with a mirror and sponge. It can be applied with the sponge or just with fingertips, and it is exciting to watch and feel the creamy consistency as it becomes an invisible powder. We have sometimes called this product an HDTV Concealer, because it was tested and proven invisible enough to be used by news anchors on high definition television.

As you might expect, color swatches on home computer screens are subject to variation based on monitor color settings, so we are asking everyone to send for our Concealer Sample Box before ordering full-size compacts. The Sample Box contains ample amounts of each of the six colors plus applicators, and it gives an excellent opportunity to find which color is the perfect match for your skin. To determine the right color, begin with a touch of #6 or #8 on your cheek. It will then be easy to see whether to go lighter or darker.

Note: After choosing the ideal match for your skin color, try a lighter shade around the eyes to conceal circles. The darker shades can serve as a bronzer.

Titanium Dioxide	One of the purest and most effective active ingredients for sun protection. Anti-bacterial and anti-viral.
Zinc Oxide	The ingredient of choice in protecting against the sun’s UVA and UVB rays. Also believed to encourage the healing of skin disorders.
Ethyl Macadamiate	The Macadamia nut tree of Hawaii, originally native to Australia, has been a traditional source of skin softening emolliency. As used here, this ester of macadamia oil provides a rich botanical base for the Concealer.
Mica	Found in nature in crystallized, thin elastic sheets of various hues. A mineral that can be ground and used as a lubricant and colorant. Used here in a form that does not cause shine.
Isostearyl Neopentanoate	A pigment dispenser that helps the process of going from cream to powder upon evaporation. Also a stabilizer and emollient.
Cyclopentasiloxane	A silicone compound used to coat the Titanium Dioxide.
Dimethicone	A silicone that protects the skin and aids in wound-healing. Has excellent moisturizing action. Provides smoothness and improves coverage.
Ozokerite	A naturally occuring mineral used as an emulsifier and thickening agent.
Beeswax	An emulsifier, emollient and moisturizer. Anti-microbial.
Candelilla Wax	A thickening agent and emollient. Protects the skin against moisture loss.
Hydrated Silica	A mineral found abundantly in nature. Used as a protectant and coloring agent.
Silicone Powder	Protects and texturizes the skin.
Boron Nitride	An earth mineral that has antibacterial properties. Provides a silky glide in application.
Triticum Vulgare (Wheat Starch)	An emollient rich in Vitamins D and E. Reduces moisture loss and soothes the skin.
Tribehenin	Used as an emollient and lubricant.
Seaweed Extract	Provides nourishment and moisturizing to the skin.
Willowherb Extract	An outstanding anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial ingredient. Derived from a wildflower native to the Yukon Territory. Reduces redness while being very soothing on the skin.
Green Tea Extract	An excellent vascular constrictor that does not trigger rebound dilation. Contains soothing properties for the skin and is a potent antioxidant.
Lilac	Derived from the plant to provide a natural and subtle scent.
Stearic Acid	Part of the coating mechanism of the Titanium Dioxide.
Tocopherol	Vitamin E. A stable and valuable antioxidant. Protects fat in the body’s tissues from abnormal breakdown. A natural preservative.
Bisabolol	An emollient rich in Vitamins D and E. Reduces moisture loss and soothes the skin.
Iron Oxides	The source of natural mineral cosmetics. Iron combined with oxygen that provides natural color of many hues.
