Winter is coming to Australia and New Zealand. And soon it will be summer in North America and Europe. In either instance, people with rosacea or sensitive skin should be protecting themselves from exposure to the sun and to environmental insults like cold and wind. A sunscreen is all-important, and the new Rosacea Care Sunscreen “30” is the most modern and scientifically-proven sunscreen in the world.

To maintain an SPF 30 rating in actual use, a sunscreen should be applied more often and more liberally than most people do. To encourage this level of usage, Rosacea Care is offering its Sunscreen "30" in a generous 6 ounce (177 g) size. Sunscreen "30" is also available in a convenient "travel-size" 4 ounce (118 g) tube.

SUNSCREEN "30" - The ultimate sunscreen for rosacea and sensitive skin. SPF 30.

Sunscreen "30" 4 oz

With the introduction of Sunscreen "30", Rosacea Care is proud to be the first international company to offer to the world of rosacea the extraordinary benefits of ZinClear™, the most advanced form of Zinc Oxide and the primary ingredient in our new Sunscreen "30".

Developed by research scientists in Western Australia, ZinClear provides remarkable protection against the ultraviolet rays of the sun, and in conjunction with the other ingredients in Sunscreen "30" provides a Sun Protection Factor (SPF) of 30, the recommended level of protection for people with rosacea or sensitive skin. Sunscreen "30" has been tested and approved by the FDA.

We are always interested in responding to requests from our customers, and so we are releasing our popular Sunscreen “30” in a convenient, easy-to-carry 4 ounce (118 g) tube in addition to our regular 6 oz. (177 g) tottle. While users appreciate the economy of having the larger container, they have also asked for a smaller packaging that could fit easily into a handbag or pocketbook.

Zinc Oxide has long been used as a primary topical agent in protecting against skin damage from the UVA and UVB rays of the sun. It is safe and non-irritating. But it has always had the disadvantage of covering the skin in whiteness. Now in Sunscreen "30" that problem has been solved.

Skin whitening is caused by visible light scatter, which is a function of particle size. The bigger the particle the greater the scatter and skin whitening. The nanotechnology of ZinClear creates zinc oxide particles so small as to be invisible - smaller in fact than the wavelength of light. These tiny particles in ZinClear protect the skin but do not scatter the light and thus leave no white marks on the skin.

But Sunscreen "30" is more than just a sunblock. It also contains Willowherb Extract and other antioxidants to protect against free radicals and active oxygen species in a formula that not only feels good to your skin but will also keep it healthy. The elegant base includes jojoba oil, wheat germ oil and squalane to provide a perfect degree of moisturization. A doctor at the Mayo Clinic who tried the product said: "It is an excellent sunblock that does a great job as a sunblock but feels like a moisturizer. It is lovely!"

As a general rule, apply Sunscreen "30" once or twice daily and repeat when necessary. But when in open sun, at the beach, skiing or cycling, apply frequently and cover all exposed areas of the body. Since this has been designed as a non-waterproof product, please be sure to reapply after going into the water. Sunscreen "30" is ideal for children.

One extra word of advice: A cloudy day – think UVA. Don’t neglect your Sunscreen when the sky is overcast, because up to 80% of UVA rays can pass through clouds, fog and haze.

VALUE OF INGREDIENTS

Zinc Oxide (ZinClear™)

Zinc Oxide is the ingredient of choice in protecting against the sun’s UVA and UVB rays. ZinClear is the most advanced form of Zinc Oxide, with particles so small that it leaves no whitening effect on the skin.

Menthyl Anthranilate

An important absorber of UVA rays. Imparts a cool feeling to the skin while also serving as a topical anesthetic.

Octyl Salicilate

A sunburn preventative and antiseptic. Used primarily to protect from the sun’s UVB rays

Aqua (Distilled Water)

A vital moisture factor in skincare formulations. Supercritical distillation and fullerene filtration makes this the purest water.

Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride

An excellent emollient derived from coconut oil. Provides a rich, smooth texture.

Cetearyl Olivate/Sorbitan Olivate

Olive extracts that provide valuable emulsifying qualities.

Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Extract

Used here in small quantity as an anti-inflammatory and skin freshener.

Silicone

Softens the skin and adds “slip” to the sunscreen.

Glycerin

An excellent emollient derived from sugar fermentation. Softens and soothes the skin. Relieves skin dryness and aids spreadability.

Buxus Chinensis (Jojoba) Oil

A deep-penetrating skin lubricant and emollient. Adds elegance to the base.

Squalane

An emollient that boosts the skin’s ability to naturally regenerate, nourish and protect itself.

Triticum Vulgare (Wheat Germ) Oil

An emollient rich in Vitamins D and E. Reduces moisture loss and soothes the skin.

Epilobium Angustifolium (Willowherb) Extract

An outstanding anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial ingredient. Derived from a wildflower native to the Yukon Territory. Reduces redness while being very soothing on the skin.

Benzyl Alcohol

Used here in very small quantity as a preservative and topical antiseptic. Any skincare product that contains water needs preservatives.

Citric Acid

A preservative and sequestering agent. Helps prevent physical or chemical changes affecting the texture of the product.

Sodium Hydroxymethylglycinate

A broad-spectrum antimicrobial preservative.

Xanthan Gum

Sometimes called corn sugar gum. A thickener, lubricant and stabilizer.

Ultrez-10 Polymer

An emulsion stabilizer and thickening agent.

Epigallocatechin Gallate (EGCG)

A natural antioxidant extracted from green tea.

Alpha-D-Tocopherol

Right-handed Vitamin E. A superior antioxidant.
